Design decisions cannot live in WhatsApp

  • Agreements in WhatsApp that nobody can find when it is time to build
  • Loose briefing PDFs, each with a different version
  • Decisions lost between the meeting, email, and a printed booklet
  • The job starts from scratch — rooms, files, and the client all over again

From the first briefing to the site

Five steps on the same project.

  1. 01

    Create the project

The office opens a design project. Status starts at briefing, on the same record that will become the job.

  2. 02

    Briefing

Disciplines, stages, and questions — ObraGuru model, company template, a copy, or blank.

  3. 03

    Meeting

The client answers on their own, or the office uses Meeting mode, with pending items and voice.

  4. 04

    Phases

Schematic design, design development, and construction documents — deliverables and client approval, same flow as the daily report.

  5. 05

    Start Obra

Close the project and start Obra on the same id. Rooms become areas; the client already has access.

What Obra Projeto covers

Briefing structure

Start from the ObraGuru model (Architecture, Interiors, Landscape, and complementary), use the company template, copy another project, or start blank. Disciplines open stages; stages open questions — short text, long text, single choice, or multiple choice.

Client and Meeting mode

The client answers in their own time. In the meeting, the office records with consent, AI transcribes, and someone clicks Apply to briefing. Pending items stay flagged to decide later.

Briefing booklet

A PDF with decisions grouped by discipline and a pending-items section — what was left for later, with a trail.

Phases and client approval

Editable phases (schematic, design development, construction documents), deliverables, and the same approval DNA as the daily report — including admin on behalf of the client when that is appropriate.

Close and start Obra

The same id becomes active. Rooms become areas, known checklists land, the booklet and approved drawings go to the files, and the flow opens the job setup wizard.

How it fits Obraguru

After starting Obra, planning, checklist, and daily reports use the same record, the same members, and the same files.

Teams that only run construction can skip briefing and create the job directly.

Who it is for

Architecture and interiors offices

Structure the briefing, run the meeting, and approve drawing phases with the client before the site.

Project coordination

See progress by discipline, pending items, and the shortcut to start Obra on the same id.

The family client

Answers the briefing, approves phases, and keeps the same invite when construction starts.

Frequently asked questions

  • The briefing and drawing-phase stage on the same project that becomes the job. Not a second record.

  • No. You can still create an obra directly. This module is for offices that brief the client before the site.

  • Yes — invited as a project member, same pattern as the daily report. Access continues after construction starts.

  • No. Voice transcribes and suggests fills; the office applies them. Suggested questions only land if someone accepts.

  • No. The client can answer alone. Recording requires explicit consent each session.

  • No. The id stays the same. Rooms become areas; the booklet and approved drawings stay on the files. It does not consume a second plan slot.

  • Yes — a briefing or design project uses 1 slot, like an active job. Starting the obra does not use a second.
